US trip

Plans well underway for the US trip. Initial flight with US Airways to Seattle. I have booked in to the Red Roof Inn for two nights to settle in and pick up the hire car. My next booking is at Port Angeles in the North West corner of Washington state so that I can explore Olympic National Park and maybe take a trip over to Vancouver Island  as a foot passenger on the ferry.
Local ideas include Boeing tour, Naval base and sea planes.
Hire car booked with CarHire3000 as recommended by Sarah Oliver. My initial booking looked OK but there was a lack of details about the one way travel fee as my drop off point was not where I picked up the car. Called the helpdesk and they pointed out the company (may have been Alamo but not sure) charged $500! The operator suggested using National as although the daily charge was slightly more their fee was $250. I have booked a ‘Ford Focus’ size car for the duration of the trip. The fee is payable in America.
